Ive read and enjoyed all of Parott’s books in this series, with Angela and her border collie Ruff McPaw! This is number 12 and takes place at the rodeo, where Angela plans to enter her pig in a competition. When she wins, Bram erupts in a rage, insisting there’s no way Petunia could have beaten his pig Thunder, and has to be subdued by the police. When he’s found murdered in his on-site trailer, as a PI she decides to help investigate, which leads her on a twisted trail, uncovering all kinds of secrets and plans! An exciting read! Book number 12 in this entertaining Ruff McPaw series, and I’ve read and enjoyed every one of them! Angela and her border collie Ruff have another murder to solve, this time at the annual rodeo. After winning the competition with her pig Petunia, Abigail responds to a scream, and discovers her competitor, Bram, dead on the floor of his trailer on the festival grounds! Someone had hit him on the back of the head and he was lying with bundles of cash all around him. Maybe a robbery gone wrong? Working with Chief Helbar, she delves into Bram’s shady past, she finds plenty of suspects! Another exciting book in this series. I received a free copy and write this review voluntarily.
I love this series. The characters are great, the world building is awesome, and the mysteries are interesting and not always predictable. Plus, cute animals! Any of these books are well worth your time and the best part is, they aren't super long and drawn out. Great for younger readers, too, with no swearing, sexual situations, or gore.
